My name is Luigi, and pizza has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I grew up in Rome, in my grandfather’s small pizzeria. As a child, I would stand in the corner and watch him work—how he handled the dough, how he chose his ingredients, how he treated every customer like they were family. At first, I was just observing… but slowly, I started helping. And without realizing it, I fell in love with it.

Some of my strongest memories are not only from the pizzeria, but from our family olive farm. Every year, we would all go there for the harvest. I remember climbing trees, shaking branches, laughing with my cousins. One evening, after a long day, my grandfather gave me a piece of bread with freshly pressed olive oil. He told me:
“If you respect the ingredients, you will always make good food.”

That stayed with me all my life.

Later, I decided to leave Italy and start a new chapter in Leopoldsburg. I lived there for about ten years. It wasn’t always easy, but I learned a lot—about people, about different cultures, about passion and confidence, and about what food means when you are far from home. I met wonderfull people, and I found myself cooking more and more, sharing meals, bringing people together.

In 2023, I finally decided to follow my dream and open Casa Pizza in Brussels.

For me, this place is not just a restaurant. It is everything I believe in. I want to make pizzas that are tasty, balanced, and made with care, but also affordable. Good food should not be only for some people—it should be for everyone. Students, workers, families… anyone who walks through the door.

I still work the dough myself. I still pay attention to every ingredient. And I still think about what my grandfather taught me all those years ago.
